Questions and answers

The short version of how Fesac Ticket works, whether you’re going out or running the night.

For ticket buyers

How do I get my tickets?

They open on screen right after you pay, with a QR code for each person, and we email them to you. If you were signed in, they’re also in My tickets.

I lost my tickets. How do I get them back?

Use Find my tickets at the bottom of any page. Enter the email you bought with and we’ll send you links to your orders.

Can I give my ticket to someone else?

Yes, until the event starts. Open your order and choose Transfer a ticket. Your friend gets a new ticket by email and the old QR code stops working.

What happens when tickets for a big show go on sale?

Some big shows use a waiting room. Join before sales open and you get a random place in line, so there’s no need to refresh. Keep the page open: when it’s your turn, you have 15 minutes to check out.

How can I pay?

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, pay-later plans and Canadian bank debit, through Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Why can’t I see the address of some events?

Some hosts keep the location private until the day. Once you have a ticket, the address shows on your order page.

Can I get a refund?

If an event is cancelled, you get everything back automatically, fees included. Many events also let you cancel from your order page before a deadline shown on the event page; you get the ticket price back but not the service fee. Otherwise, contact the host. See our refund policy for details.

For organizers

How much does it cost to sell tickets?

Free events are free. On paid tickets there’s a small service fee per ticket: on a $50.00 ticket it’s $2.74. You choose whether buyers pay it or you cover it.

Do you charge sales tax on my tickets?

Only if you’re registered. Add your GST/HST number (and QST or Saskatchewan PST if you have them) in Wallet and we charge the right tax for each event’s province. It’s paid out with your sales, and you remit it.

How do I get paid?

Connect your Canadian bank account in Wallet through Stripe. It takes a few minutes, and ticket money is paid out to your bank on a rolling schedule.

Can my sale handle a rush when a big show goes on sale?

Yes. Turn on the waiting room in your event’s Checkout tab and choose how many people to let in each minute. Places are random, a bot check keeps scripts out, and checkout never gets overloaded.

How do I check people in at the door?

Open your event and choose Check in. Scan each QR code with your phone’s camera, or type the code on the ticket.

Can I sell group tickets or a VIP table on Fesac Ticket?

Yes. Set a group size on a ticket type, like 4 for a group or 6 for a booth. Each person gets their own QR code.
